Our Story: Heroes on the Field

Fielding Hope helps disabled veterans shine through baseball!

SGM Steven Gilboy
Founder & Hero
“Baseball gave me hope. I want that for every veteran.”

Steven’s Brave Journey

Fielding Hope was founded by SGM Steven Gilboy, a veteran who understands firsthand the invisible wounds and daily challenges many veterans face after service. His healing journey began on the baseball field, where camaraderie, movement, and mission rekindled something inside him.

Inspired by that transformation, Steven set out to create something bigger than himself — a place where other disabled veterans could rediscover purpose, connection, and hope through the power of sport. Fielding Hope was born from this vision: a bridge between military service and civilian life built on the baseball diamond.

From Major League fantasy camps to adaptive team experiences, our programs offer more than just a game — they provide a second chance at strength, pride, and belonging. Veterans find not only physical rehabilitation, but also emotional reconnection, mentorship, and meaningful goals.

At Fielding Hope, we’re not just teaching baseball — we’re restoring dignity, purpose, and joy. Join us as we rewrite what healing looks like, one veteran at a time.

Our Epic Mission

Fielding Hope brings together disabled veterans through baseball camps and team games. It’s more than a sport—it’s a family where everyone feels strong!
